Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Ventilator Care and Ventilator Weaning Neurobehavioral Disorders Complex Medical Recovery We are the largest brain injury treatment program in the world.
We are a facility where talented people are given the opportunity to use their special skills, be creative and sometimes push the envelope.
We are currently looking for a Unit Clerk Full Time
Responsibilities:
Monitor for current notes in medical record by all disciplines; notifies responsible disciplines if discrepancies are noted.
Cull (thin) medical records periodically and upon discharge; organize medical records in accordance with established medical record policies and procedures Prepare all new admission medical records.
Answer telephone, take messages, may call physicians for non-emergency communications or as directed by charge nurse.
Answer resident/patient call bells; arrange for assistance from appropriate staff if necessary.
Monitor and log needed repairs on unit.
Assist with transfer of residents/patients as needed (i.
e.
Dining Room, Rehabilitative services, etc).
Accompany residents/patients to outside facility appointments.
Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent Must have 2 years clerical experience, including appointment setting and transportation coordination Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology Must have excellent communication and phone skills Must have excellent customer relations experience with residents, co-workers and families Able to maintain professional demeanor and attitude at all times, including crisis situations Be accurate, organized and strong follow up skills Able to handle confidential information.
