General Purpose:
The cashier's main purpose is to efficiently and courteously ring up customers' goods in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service.

Job Description:
Ensure that customers receive the best customer service by providing friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service Greet customers and thank them for shopping at Adams Ring out customers Count drawer at beginning and end of shift Check prices at beginning of shift Set up register with bags Carefully bag goods for customers Clean up around register Be familiar with store (location of all departments) Be willing to perform extra duties such as stocking shelves, cleaning, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be physically able to Lift approximately 25 lbs.
Stand in place for long periods of time Mental/Reasoning Requirements:
Employees must be able to:
Process media control accurately Be polite, courteous & patient with each customer Memorize product codes Demonstrate basic math skills Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers
