Responsibilities:
As a Business Office Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that are integral to the smooth operation of our office.
Your key duties will include, but are not limited to:
General Office Duties:
Perform essential office tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing paperwork.
Data Accuracy:
Ensure precise and error-free data entry for client information, consistently reconcile daily census records.
Accounts Management:
Identify and process accounts that are overdue, collaborating closely with our corporate team to facilitate collections.
Client Communication:
Engage with residents and their families regarding billing matters through various channels, including in-person interactions, email, and mailing statements.
Medicaid Compliance:
Prepare and submit LDSS 3559 forms to the relevant Department of Social Services.
Admission Paperwork:
Conduct meetings with neighbors and responsible parties to complete admission agreements and financial interviews.
Medicaid Assistance:
Assist neighbors and responsible parties with the Medicaid application and recertification process, including requesting and obtaining the necessary Medicaid-required documents.
Department of Social Services Communication:
Maintain ongoing communication with the Department of Social Services to ensure compliance and timely processing of Medicaid applications and recertifications.
Mail Processing:
Handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and maintain accurate filing records.
Data Management:
Maintain meticulous records, analyze data, and implement effective solutions to improve our office's efficiency.
Confidential Reporting:
Prepare classified reports as directed, maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Requirements:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Office Knowledge:
Familiarity with general office procedures.
Customer Service:
Exceptional customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and their families.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a nursing home business office or nursing home billing office.
Team Player:
Must be a collaborative team player committed to contributing to our office's success.
Compensation:
Rate will be commensurate with experience/certification.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
