Qualified candidates will have an understanding of semiconductor and/or biopharm products and manufacturing processes to better help our customers with quoting projects/orders.
The Customer Service Rep is to work directly with the Operations Manager coordinating all sales projects and seeing them through completion.
This position also performs customer service tasks such as taking orders and quotes from customers, entering orders and customer information, quoting customers on delivery and prices, and adjusting prices for customers to maintain their business.
As a Customer Service Rep at HPT, you will work closely with our Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our company.
Acting as second-in-command to the Operations Manager and taking care of all sales duties in their absence.
You will be responsible for learning HPTs products, procedures, and specifications to better understand our customer's needs.
Creating and upholding company policies and procedures, entering sales and purchase orders, quoting, and estimating work requests.
Tracking all project orders and ensuring all items ship by the given due dates.
Track backorders, work weekly with purchasing to ensure due dates are met.
Follow up with customers on open quote status.
You will also work directly with the Production Manager and the warehouse crew on the shop floor to better understand our processes and to gain an understanding of customers' requirements and needs.
Also assisting the Production Manager with their daily tasks and production issues when needed.
Providing excellent customer service and maintaining relationships with vendors.
Taking inventory and ordering office supplies as needed.
Updating logs and order forms.
Analyzing all operations and forwarding suggestions for improvement to the Manager.
Customer Service Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superb organizational skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
A willingness to learn.
Qualifications for Customer Service:
Experience in semiconductor/biopharmaceutical/plumbing sales are preferred.
Strong computer literacy skills.
Sage/Sesame/Outlook a plus Strong phone sales and the ability to learn and retain our product info and cleaning procedures.
Some form of formal training in customer service and sales is required.
Experience in the fields of Semiconductor/Biopharm or Plumbing is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Work well with others and be a team player.
Regular and dependable attendance.
